How to be Successful

So I was asked by my cousin from Canada if I could write about an essay about three topics. One of these three topics was about how to be successful. And when I saw this while we were chatting, it struck me. I was always aiming for success and I was always hoping to be successful but I haven't really thought about how. So I will just write my essay here.

There are so many different ways to define success. Success, for me, is relative to each person. Every person has his or her own definition of success and how to measure it. With that, one thing we should remember in order to know how to be successful is to know and set your goals. This is the very first thing that we should remember to achieve success. We will not be able know that we have succeeded if we do not know what we want to achieve. goals are important since when we attain these goal, we will know that we have succeeded.

The next question is, "Are goals enough?" Of course not! We may have a lot of goals in mind but do these goals keep us going on? Maybe it's enough for some but most of us don't act much on our goals and are contented with our everyday lives. On that note, we should have motivation. Motivation is very important because it keeps us interested in achieving our goals. Some little reward for every milestone that we have achieved could be a big motivating factor.

For sure, we all need to set these things to be successful. aside from that, we should also have a plan on what we have to do and have an alternate plan in case one fails. With that, we should be ready of failure. In this world, you're lucky if you succeed right away. As we go on, we should learn to accept that there are always time when we should fall down. That doesn't mean that we should stop trying. This instead become our opportunity to rise back up and come back stronger. Be optimistic. Never think of failure as a sign of the end. It's always a sign that means there must be another way.

For me, I can't say that I have already succeeded all my goals since I am still very young but I can say I have succeeded many times already. And with that, I have also failed a lot. Hope keeps me pushing forward and for as long as I have strength, I will continue hoping to succeed and asking for more.

For a special someone

Hi,     I know I have been the worst this past year. I know you haven't felt the same way since the pandemic hit and so did I. I thought that giving you space and waiting for you to come around was the right thing for us. I thought that you would become more independent and that you would learn that you are very strong and you can do anything. I thought that giving you the space will help you go back to being with your friends and enjoying your life without me. Most especially, I thought that when you had time to let yourself free a little, I would just be here waiting for you with all the things that you've learned by yourself and having to experience a new you.     I, too, had plans to change over that time. I wanted to enjoy being with my family and experience how it's like to live with them for a longer period of time. We were never in the same house for so long and I wanted to savor that time before I lived away from them. I wanted to make sure they were l...

How my fanboy self is feeling about Avengers: Infinity War

Just a few weeks ago, Marvel released their biggest production yet. Avengers: Infinity War, as they say, "is the most ambitious crossover ever assembled". And true enough, that ambitious crossover is now a huge success. I'm not really a huge comic book fan and I'm not really familiar with most Marvel characters. However, since the Marvel Cinematic Universe started to take shape, I became really hooked. I have watched almost all the movies and even the TV shows just so I can get even the smallest details that have meaning to the MCU. From Iron man, to Captain America, to Thor, up to the latest episodes Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., I watched them all. Now, this movie puts together these puzzle pieces to form one huge blockbuster hit. As fans, we get to see who would get the honour of playing our favourite superheroes. We get to see how it would look like when they're not just drawn in comic books or animated cartoons. We get to see these heroes as humans...

"Sana all" may not be good at all

I woke up this morning asking myself, "why are people not contented with what they have?" Why do we always find something we don't have and try to force ourselves that we should have that? In an era full content, why is there so much discontent?      I realized that the phrase "sana all" is a big part of this. We often see this phrase in comments on social media where everyone shares "the good stuff". We see a couple's nice photo and the first comment is "sana all". We see a woman in a bikini on the beach with the caption, "sunkissed", "beach please", or "vitamin sea", and the first comment is "sana all". We see a person's photo in a foreign country with a historical land mark and the first comment is "sana all".       I get it. It's supposed to make the person in the photo feel good about themselves. However, does the person saying it feel any better? "Sana all" i...
